The counseling, psychological, and social services component is one of the eight components in the Coordinated School Health Program model. It is designed to provide services to improve school children's mental, emotional, behavioral, and social health.

Examples of services include:

  • Individual and group assessments
  • Interventions
  • Prevention and education
  • Referrals

These organizational assessment and consultation services would ideally be performed by certified school counselors, social workers, and school psychologists, who contribute to both the health and safety of students and school environment.
